Western Australian Programs
Three programs have been funded in WA (until June 30, 2013). These programs are being implemented by the Heart Foundation, Multicultural Services Centre of WA and the Aboriginal metropolitan community in partnerships with the North and South Metropolitan Public Health Units. The Swap It, Don’t Stop It campaign ended on 31 March 2013. Although the campaign has finished, some campaign resources and merchandise are still available (see resource tab for information).
Shape Up Australia
The Australia National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA) launched Shape Up Australia in February 2013 to follow on from Swap It, Don’t Stop It. Like Swap It, Don’t Stop It, Shape Up Australia aims to help Australians reduce their waist measurements and improve their overall health and wellbeing. Some elements include:
- Shape Up Australia consumer website (www.shapeup.gov.au), building on the information and tools from the previous Measure Up and Swap It, Don’t Stop It campaigns;
- New Eat for Health cookbook; and
- Public relations to promote the brand.

Are you ready to make a healthy change? LiveLighter has been developed to encourage Western Australians to lead healthier lifestyles. By taking adults on a journey inside their own bodies, the campaign highlights the consequences of unhealthy lifestyle choices.
Boasting a comprehensive website and a suite of helpful tools and resources, LiveLighter can help WA adults tackle toxic fat, get rid of the “grabbable gut” and take the first step towards a healthier future. For more information, visit www.livelighter.com.au.
